Protecting children who have suffered abuse or neglect
(or at risk of harm) by assisting and supporting their families to reduce
harmful circumstances;
Offering guidance, counselling and referral services
to families whose children are at risk of abuse or neglect;
Referring families to other service providers for services
we do not provide;
Placing children in alternative care arrangements depending on their
legal status and their individual needs;
Arranging for treatment services for children in our care;
Recruiting, developing, educating and supporting Foster and
Providing a program to teach Behaviour Management skills to parents involved with the Society;
Providing residential or day camp
experiences for children involved with the Society;
Providing a Life Skills program in partnership with selected Secondary
Schools for Youth ages 13 to 19 ;
Providing a Treatment Foster Care
and Community Services Support Program in conjunction with three other
Children’s Aid Societies for children with complex needs in our
care;
Sponsoring and providing referrals to theNorthumberland
WrapAround
program which provides a community support team for families and children
with a high level of significant difficulties;
As a member of theFamily Treatment Coalition, providing
referrals for treatment and services for family violence.
