The Children’s Aid Society of Northumberland has been serving this community since 1895. We offer a range of services including child protection, family support, foster care, pregnancy counselling, adoption services and prevention services.

 

We are a charitable, non-profit agency established under the authority of the Child and Family Services Act and funded by the Ministry of Children and Youth Services.

 

We have a strong community focus and participate in collaborative working relationships with other service agencies throughout Northumberland County.

 

The Northumberland Children’s Aid Society is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors. The Board consists of twelve members elected for three year terms. All of our Board members live and/or work in Northumberland County, support the Mission and Values of the Society and have an active interest in children’s services and advocating for the needs of children.
